Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment, selection, onboarding, induction, probation and employee confirmation processes.
  • Coordinate the organisation’s performance management process, including setting and tracking KPIs, performance reviews, performance improvement plans and follow-up on agreed actions.
  • Work with the CEO and supervisors to identify training and development needs and coordinate learning interventions that address capability gaps and business priorities.
  • Coordinate employee relations and engagement, including employee check-ins, workplace concerns, grievances and initiatives that strengthen communication, collaboration and employee experience.
  • Coordinate the development, review, communication and implementation of HR policies, disciplinary procedures and compliance requirements, ensuring consistent application across the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate, complete and confidential employee records and HR documentation, including attendance, leave, employment records, performance, training and disciplinary records.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports, dashboards and action trackers, providing the CEO with timely information on staffing, performance, training, employee relations, compliance and other key people indicators.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree/HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology or a related discipline.
  • Professional HR qualification such as CIPM, SHRM, HRCI or equivalent is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years' relevant HR/generalist experience.
  • Practical experience in recruitment, employee relations and performance management.
  • Experience developing or implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Experience working in an SME, construction, design, architecture, project-based or professional-services environment would be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of HR policies and employment practices.
  • Performance management and KPI administration.
  • Recruitment and interviewing skills.
  • Employee documentation and records management.
  • Learning and development coordination.
  • Competence with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and HR systems.
  • Strong report-writing and data-management skills.
