Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR Officer to manage the company's human resources activities, with a strong focus on supporting our Marketing, Sales, and Technical Services teams. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the animal health, livestock nutrition, veterinary products, and feed industry, and be able to effectively manage employees working across sales, marketing, and technical functions.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, staff records, and employee documentation.
  • Manage and support the company's marketing and sales workforce.
  • Monitor staff attendance, performance, conduct, and productivity.
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
  • Coordinate staff welfare, leave, and other HR-related activities.
  • Support performance management and staff appraisal processes.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Identify training and development needs for employees.
  • Work closely with management to address staffing and manpower requirements.
  • Support payroll preparation and maintain accurate employee records.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable labour regulations.
  • Support the recruitment of marketers, sales representatives, technical officers, and other commercial staff.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the company's products and business, particularly animal nutrition, livestock products, veterinary products, feed mills, and farm operations.
  • Work with management to ensure employees have the required knowledge, skills, and resources to perform their roles effectively.


Requirements:

  • HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2 years’ experience in HR, preferably within an agricultural, livestock, veterinary, animal health, feed, or related business.
  • Good knowledge of HR practices, employee relations, and Nigerian labour regulations.
  • Good knowledge of animal/livestock nutrition and veterinary products is required.
  • Understanding of the operations of feed mills, farms, animal health businesses, and technical services will be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Remuneration: NGN 200,000 Monthly
