Job summary

Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, contracts, personnel files, and HR database information.
- Support the implementation of performance management processes, including KPI documentation, monthly reviews, feedback, and performance improvement plans.
- Address employee concerns, support disciplinary and grievance processes, and promote positive workplace relationships.
- Prepare employment letters, HR correspondence, reports, policies, notices, and other workforce documentation.
- Compile and validate employee information required for payroll, benefits, allowances, deductions, and other compensation-related processes.
- Monitor compliance with company policies, employment contracts, and applicable Nigerian labour laws and regulations.
- Support employee engagement, learning and development, welfare, recognition, and retention initiatives.
- Prepare and submit periodic HR reports covering workforce strength, recruitment, turnover, attendance, leave, performance, employee relations, and other key HR metrics.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, leave, absenteeism, and work schedules, and provide timely reports to Management.
- Manage recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offer documentation
- Coordinate employee onboarding, orientation, confirmation, transfers, contract renewals, and exit processes.
Requirements:
- Sound knowledge of recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR administration.
- Good understanding of Nigerian labour laws, workplace policies, disciplinary procedures, and statutory requirements.
- Experience maintaining employee records and using HR management systems or digital HR platforms.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information with integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal, conflict-resolution, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities within required timelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Professional HR certification from CIPM, SHRM, HRCI, or a similar recognized body is an advantage.
- A proactive, dependable, people-focused, and results-driven approach to work.
- A BA/BSc or HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Psychology, or related fields.
- At least three years of practical experience in human resources or people operations.
