Job summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven business operations analyst to oversee and optimise the end-to-end operational lifecycle of transactions, from deal sourcing through execution, monitoring, and recovery. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence, enhance process efficiency, ensure disciplined execution, and provide performance insights that support sustainable growth and portfolio quality.
Job descriptions & requirements
- Analyse and improve business processes to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Monitor operational performance metrics and provide insights to management
- Identify operational risks and recommend mitigation measures.
- Support strategic initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Oversee the quality and flow of deals entering the pipeline.
- Work closely with business banking officers to enforce deal qualification standards.
- Monitor pipeline volume, quality, and conversion rates.
- Coordinate improvements to sourcing channels.
- Coordinate deals through the credit process.
- Maintain deal tracking systems and internal communication flows.
- Escalate issues requiring attention to the Credit and Risk team.
- Manage onboarding, documentation, and disbursement activities.
- Ensure all conditions precedent are met before disbursement.
- Verify approvals and transaction documentation.
- Monitor utilization of funds and repayment triggers.
- Support proactive portfolio risk management.
- Oversee recovery processes and monitor portfolio performance.
- Design standardized workflows across sourcing, processing, monitoring, execution, and recovery functions.
- Improve speed, accuracy, accountability, and scalability of operational processes.
- Identify automation opportunities and support workflow digitisation.
- Prepare operational and management reports.
- Provide data-driven insights to support decision-making.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, statistics, or a related discipline.
- MBA or relevant professional certifications will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in operations, banking, lending, financial services, business process management, or related functions.
- Experience coordinating workflows and driving operational efficiency within a financial institution or fintech environment is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Remuneration: NGN 647,366.35 Monthly Net
