Production Manager

Responsibilities:

Production SOPs:

• Develop, implement, and enforce production process standards and procedures
• Maintain and uphold cleaning and hygiene standards across all production areas

Production Records:

• Oversee the accurate maintenance of daily production records
• Manage inventory records and develop reliable inventory forecasts
• Lead production scheduling and optimal resource allocation
• Manage vendor relationships and vendor performance tracking
• Oversee QC records and ensure comprehensive general reporting

Administration:

• Manage Production staff payroll processing, attendance tracking, penalties, and leave administration
• Lead recruitment and personnel requests for the production team
• Liaise with regulatory bodies includingSON, NAFDAC and LGA
• Oversee QC compliance and ensure adherence to all applicable standards
• Manage vendor relations and operational scheduling
• Provide overall Operations Management and Production Management oversight

Maintenance:

• Oversee the maintenance and servicing of key equipment 
• Manage utility systems 
• Coordinate general repairs, equipment upkeep, and staff clothing/ PPE management

Requirements:

• A minimum of an HND in food science, microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry, or a related science discipline
• Minimum of 4–6 years of experience in a food processing or FMCG production environment, with at least 2 years in a managerial role
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and food safety regulations
• Familiarity with NAFDAC and SON compliance requirements
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in production planning, inventory management, and resource scheduling
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional coordination
