Chef/Cook

Responsibilities:

• Prepare meals within your area of specialization for daily sales and catering events.
  
• Follow recipes and instructions accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and quality.
  
• Prepare meals efficiently in commercial quantities.
  
• Ensure proper seasoning, cooking techniques, portioning, and presentation.
  
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
  
• Properly store and label ingredients and prepared food.
  
• Minimize food waste and use ingredients responsibly.
  
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workstation.
  
• Work effectively with other kitchen staff during busy periods and events.
  
• Assist with stock checks and communicate when ingredients are running low.
  
• Meet required service timelines and maintain food quality standards.
  

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant, hotel, catering company, or professional kitchen.
  
• Strong expertise in either Nigerian/local cuisine or continental cuisine.
  
• Ability to prepare meals in commercial quantities without compromising taste or quality.
  
• Good understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety.
  
• Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  
• Good time management and teamwork skills.
  
• Must be reliable, neat, disciplined, and organized.
  
• Ability to work under pressure and meet service deadlines.
• Experience in event catering is an added advantage.
