Accountant
Job summary
The accountant is responsible for managing the financial records, accounting transactions, reporting processes, and internal controls of the hospitality establishment. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, statutory compliance , effective cash flow management and supports management decision-making through sound financial analysis.

- Maintain accurate accounting records and financial transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage the general ledger and chart of accounts.
- Ensure timely reconciliation of bank accounts and ledgers.
- Monitor daily sales and revenue reports.
- Reconcile room revenue, restaurant sales, and other income streams.
- Track operational expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor inventory-related financial transactions.
- Process vendor payments and staff reimbursements.
- Manage customer and corporate account receivables.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and invoices.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting
- Conduct variance analysis and prepare management reports.
- Provide financial insights to support business decisions.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Prepare and file statutory deductions and tax returns.
- Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor cash flow and liquidity requirements.
- Prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Ensure proper management of petty cash and cash collections.
- Implement and maintain financial control systems.
- Safeguard company assets and financial information.
- Support internal and external audit processes.
