Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
- Oversee daily income, expenditure, payments and receipts.
- Ensure proper documentation of sales, purchases and other financial activities.
- Prepare periodic financial statements and management accounts and monthly financial performance reports.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and ensure proper reconciliation of bank accounts and financial records.
- Develop annual and periodic budgets in collaboration with management.
- Identify unnecessary expenditure and recommend cost-control measures.
- Establish and maintain internal
financial controls.
- Ensure that company funds are used appropriately.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking and Finance or a related discipline.
- 2-5 years of relevant accounting or financial management experience.
- A professional accounting qualification such as ICAN or ACCA is an advantage.
- Experience preparing financial statements, budgets and management reports.
- Experience in cash-flow management, financial reconciliation and internal controls.
- Knowledge of Nigerian tax requirements and statutory financial obligations.
