HMO Officer/Hospital Administrator

Job Summary

Cornerstone Hospital is looking to hire a competent individual who will be in charge of the administrative responsibilities for the hospital’s HMO partners as well as the hospital’s administrative duties.

  • Minimum Qualification: OND
  • Experience Level: Mid level
  • Experience Length: 1 year

Job Description/Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

  • To organize and maintain up-to-data health information both in paper files and in electronic systems
  • To check data for accuracy, ensure proper billing for insurance reimbursement
  • To manage patient information, medical histories, physician exams, test results, treatments and services provided
  • To ensure patient care conforms to individual HMO/NHIS requirements/policies
  • To obtain all necessary HMO codes as at when due
  • To act as relationship officer with HMOs/NHIS
  • Responsible for the sourcing of new clients while maintaining relationships with existing clients
  • Arrange for meetings and presentations
  • Coordinate or participate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with developers, advertisers, or production managers, to market plans or services
  • Negotiate contracts with potential clients to get their business

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of OND degree in any field from a recognized tertiary institution
  • Proven working experience as an HMO relation/administrative officer 
  • Excellent administrative and client relationship skills
  • Knowledge of the operations of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS)
  • The preferred candidate should be a female residing in or around Akute, Ogun state
  • Computer literacy skills as well as basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred maximum age of 35 years old
  • Strong persuasive, critical thinking, sound logic and decision making skills

Salary: NGN40,000 monthly

Job Location: Akute, Ogun state.
