DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:

• Deploy, configure, and maintain staging & production servers.
• Manage services like Elasticsearch, APIs, databases, and application servers.
• Implement access control and least privilege for all systems.

Security & Monitoring:

• Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting for infrastructure and applications.
• Harden services (e.g., enable authentication for Elasticsearch, secure API endpoints).
• Support incident response by providing logs and system snapshots when needed.

Automation:

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and ensure seamless collaboration between development and operations teams.
• Automate backups, recovery processes, and routine maintenance tasks.
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, or similar) for reproducible setups.

Collaboration:

• Work with developers to deploy code safely and efficiently.
• Coordinate with the security team to patch vulnerabilities and meet compliance requirements.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of all systems, services, and credentials.

Requirements:

• Experience with Linux server administration and networking.
• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes a plus).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of access control, authentication, and network security best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation habits.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with developers and security engineers

Nice to Have:

• Experience managing Elasticsearch or similar search systems.
• Familiarity with system monitoring tools (ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Awareness of compliance requirements (HIPAA, GDPR, ISO 27001).
