Senior Full Stack Software Developer

Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and improve the HomeFairyTech backend, mobile application, and admin dashboard.
• Work with Node.js, Express.js, and TypeScript to develop and maintain REST APIs.
• Work with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM for database development and management.
• Develop and maintain features in React Native and Expo for iOS and Android.
• Work with Next.js on the administrative dashboard.
• Build and maintain integrations with third-party APIs and services.
• Develop and maintain payment integrations, including Flutterwave. 
• Work with real-time features using Socket.io. 
• Work with caching and background processing using Redis and BullMQ.
• Work with cloud storage and services such as AWS S3 and Cloudinary.
• Integrate and maintain services for KYC, notifications, email, AI and other platform functionality. 
• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve application bugs and production issues. 
• Review existing code and identify technical risks, performance issues, and areas for improvement. 
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain good software development practices. 
• Test features thoroughly before deployment.
• Support application builds, releases, and production deployments. 
• Monitor application performance and resolve issues identified through error tracking and analytics tools. 
• Work closely with the CEO, operations, and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Collaborate with other developers and provide technical guidance when required. 
• Maintain technical documentation for key systems, integrations, and processes.

Requirements:

• A minimum of an HND in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field.
• 6 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong professional experience with Node.js, TypeScript and REST API development.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Prisma ORM or a comparable ORM.
• Hands-on experience with React Native and Expo.
• Experience with Next.js or comparable modern web frameworks. 
• Experience developing and integrating third-party APIs.
• Experience working with payment gateways; Flutterwave experience is an advantage. 
• Good understanding of authentication, authorization and API security. 
• Experience with Git and GitHub based development workflows.
• Experience debugging and maintaining applications in production.
• Understanding of cloud storage and deployment environments.
• Experience with Redis, queues or background job processing is an advantage.
• Experience with real-time communication technologies such as Socket.io is an advantage. 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical tasks.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
