Cloud Administrator

Responsibilities:

• Manage, maintain and monitor the company's cloud infrastructure and services.
  
• Configure and manage cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
  
• Monitor system performance, availability and security.
  
• Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide technical support when required.
  
• Implement routine system updates, backups and maintenance.
  
• Monitor cloud resource usage and recommend cost-saving improvements.
  
• Support cloud deployment, infrastructure optimisation and security practices.

Requirements:

• Proven professional experience in cloud administration, cloud engineering, or cloud infrastructure management at a mid-level or senior level.
• Strong practical experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Candidates must be able to demonstrate meaningful hands-on experience across these platforms; familiarity with only one platform will not meet the full requirement.
• Experience deploying, configuring, maintaining, and managing cloud infrastructure and services.
• Practical knowledge of DevOps principles, automation, and infrastructure management.
• Experience designing, implementing, or maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience with cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), access controls, encryption, and security best practices.
• Ability to monitor cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
• Experience with cloud performance monitoring, resource optimisation, and cost management.
• Knowledge of backup strategies, disaster recovery, business continuity, and high-availability architecture.
• Familiarity with scripting or automation using tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent.
• Understanding of networking concepts, virtualisation, operating systems, and cloud connectivity.

Certifications Required:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect — Associate or Professional.
• AWS Certified SysOps Administrator — Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Google Associate Cloud Engineer.
• Google Professional Cloud Architect.
• Relevant DevOps or infrastructure automation certifications.
• Additional certifications are an advantage. Certifications should be verified through the issuing provider where verification is available.

Portfolio and Evidence of Experience:

• Cloud infrastructure deployments or migration projects.
• CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Infrastructure automation using Terraform or equivalent tools.
• Cloud security improvements or infrastructure monitoring projects.
• Cloud cost optimisation initiatives with measurable results.
• Disaster recovery, backup, or high-availability implementations.
• Candidates may provide redacted case studies, GitHub repositories, technical documentation, or project summaries.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

• A candidate who can explain technical decisions, demonstrate practical implementation experience, and show measurable improvements in reliability, security, performance, or cloud expenditure.
