Network & Cybersecurity Personnel

Responsibilities:

•  Monitor and maintain the company's network infrastructure and connectivity.
  
• Identify, investigate and resolve network performance and security issues.
• Monitor systems for potential cyber threats, vulnerabilities and suspicious activities.
  
• Implement and maintain network security measures, firewalls and access controls.
  
• Conduct routine security checks, updates and vulnerability assessments.
  
• Respond to security incidents and document findings.
  
• Ensure network systems and company data remain secure, reliable and accessible.
  

Requirements:

• Relevant professional experience in network engineering, network administration, cybersecurity, or IT infrastructure.
• Quality experience in BGP peering, Arista setup, data centre racking, etc.
• Strong understanding of computer networking, network architecture, and infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, switching, and network protocols.
• Experience configuring, managing, and troubleshooting routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and related networking equipment.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, network security controls, threat prevention, and vulnerability management.
• Ability to identify, investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve network connectivity and performance issues.
• Knowledge of access control, authentication, endpoint protection, patch management, and security best practices.
• Understanding of network monitoring, security logging, incident detection, and incident response.
• Familiarity with system administration across Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Knowledge of cloud networking and cloud security concepts.
• Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or GCP networking and security services.
• Understanding of backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and secure network design.
• Ability to document network configurations, technical incidents, security procedures, and implemented solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Certifications:

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
• CompTIA Network+.
• CompTIA Security+.
• CompTIA CySA+.
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), where appropriate to the candidate's experience.
• Relevant Microsoft, AWS, or Google Cloud networking/security certifications.
• Certifications must be relevant to the candidate's demonstrated experience and responsibilities.

Portfolio and Evidence of Experience:

• Network design, configuration, or infrastructure deployment.
• Firewall, VPN, routing, or switching implementation.
• Network monitoring or troubleshooting projects.
• Security assessments, vulnerability remediation, or incident response.
• Cloud networking or cloud security implementation.
• System administration, access management, or infrastructure hardening.
• Acceptable evidence may include redacted project reports, network diagrams, lab demonstrations, technical documentation, certification records, or portfolio repositories.
• Candidates must not disclose confidential information belonging to previous employers or clients.

Preferred Candidate Profile: A practical, security-conscious professional who can maintain network reliability, identify vulnerabilities, resolve technical issues, and implement appropriate preventive measures.
