Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual and automated test cases to verify that software applications meet functional and quality requirements.
  • Identify, document, report, and track software defects using approved defect management tools, and verify fixes after resolution.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of test plans, test cases, test scenarios, test scripts, and test reports.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT) as required during the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve quality-related issues.
  • Support the Quality Assurance team in ensuring compliance with organizational quality standards, testing methodologies, and best practices.
  • Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, daily stand-up meetings, backlog refinement, and sprint reviews where applicable.
  • Continuously learn and apply industry-standard software testing tools, techniques, and processes while contributing to the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality software products.


Requirements:

  • Currently studying or recently graduated in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC).
  • Knowledge of manual testing principles and software quality assurance practices.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Azure DevOps) is an advantage.
  • Basic understanding of automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage assigned tasks effectively.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, testing frameworks, and industry best practices.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL, APIs, and version control systems (e.g., Git) will be an added advantage.
