Responsibilities:
Trend Scouting & Strategy:
- Spot Emerging Trends: Monitor TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and viral book trends (BookTok, BookStagram) daily.
- Translate Trends for Authors: Turn viral sounds, tropes, and formats into actionable video concepts tailored to specific book genres.
- Campaign Direction: Function as the central "brain" directing creative strategy across all client campaigns.
Client Direction & Scripting:
- Author Video Guidance: Direct author clients on exactly what raw video footage to shoot, providing clear sounds, visual cues, and hook ideas.
- Content Coaching: Guide authors on how to look natural on camera and capture high-converting, authentic content.
Team Leadership & Execution:
- Lead the Production Team: Oversee a high-volume social media posting team, providing clear briefs, audio links, and trend direction.
- Quality & Consistency Control: Ensure the production team implements trends quickly, accurately, and on schedule before content goes live.
- Performance Tracking: Analyse post performance to refine strategies and double down on high-performing content formats.
Requirements:
- Genuine love for books (romance, fiction, YA, fantasy, etc.) and deep knowledge of book tropes and reader demographics.
- A deep, intuitive understanding of short-form video algorithms (TikTok, Instagram Reels, Shorts).
- Ability to take total ownership of content strategy without needing step-by-step supervision.
- Strong organisational and direction skills to guide both clients (authors) and internal execution teams seamlessly.
Key Metrics of Success:
- Trend adoption speed (how quickly a viral format is adapted for clients).
- Execution accuracy across the mass posting team.
- Engagement and view growth across client social media accounts.
