Job summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing the company’s financial records, monitoring income and expenses, preparing financial reports and ensuring accurate bookkeeping. The role requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, accuracy, and good knowledge of accounting principles

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Records:
- Record and maintain accurate daily financial transactions.
- Maintain records of sales, purchases, expenses, receipts, invoices, and payments.
- Reconcile cash, bank, POS, and other payment records regularly.
- Ensure all financial documents are properly filed and easily accessible.
Sales & Revenue Monitoring:
- Monitor daily sales from all branches, stores, bakery, and other business units.
- Reconcile sales against cash, POS, bank transfers, and other payment channels.
- Identify and report discrepancies in sales or payments.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports..
Inventory & Cost Control:
- Work with the operations/procurement team to monitor stock purchases and usage.
- Assist in calculating the cost of products produced or sold.
- Monitor wastage, stock discrepancies, and unusual variances.
- Support regular stock-taking and reconciliation.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification such as ICAN/ACCA is an advantage.
- Experience in retail, manufacturing, food production, or FMCG is an added advantage
- Minimum of 2–3 years’ relevant accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of bookkeeping and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Accuracy and timeliness of financial records.
- Timely submission of daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Accuracy of sales and bank/POS reconciliations
- Reduction of financial discrepancies and unexplained variances.
- Proper maintenance of accounting documentation.
