Spa Therapist

Responsibilities:

• Provide professional spa and wellness treatments to clients.
• Carry out massage therapy and other approved spa treatments according to established standards.
• Assess client needs before treatments and recommend appropriate services where necessary.
• Prepare treatment rooms before each session and ensure they remain clean, organised and comfortable.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, sanitation and infection prevention.
• Properly clean and disinfect equipment and treatment areas after use.
• Educate clients on relevant aftercare and wellness practices.
• Maintain accurate client treatment records where required.
• Monitor spa supplies and inform management when products or materials need to be restocked.
• Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming experience for clients.
• Follow all company policies relating to health, safety, privacy and professional conduct.
• Work effectively with other members of the spa, gym and customer service teams.

Requirements:

• Certificate or recognised qualification in Spa Therapy, Massage Therapy, Beauty Therapy or a related field.
• Candidates with additional qualifications or training in a health-related field will have an advantage.
• Previous practical experience in a spa, wellness centre, salon or similar environment is preferred.
• Good knowledge of massage and spa treatment techniques.
• Strong understanding of hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and conduct.
• Ability to work with different types of clients respectfully and confidentially.
• Must be reliable, punctual and attentive to detail.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
