Kucheza Gaming is an Africa-focused video games industry startup utilising the power of video games to engage and get future generations ready to pursue careers in gaming and change the world.
What You’ll Be Doing

• Develop and implement gameplay features in Unreal Engine using C++ or Blueprints.
• Collaborate with our design and art teams to create an engaging and optimized gameplay experience.
• Write clean, maintainable code and use tools like Profiler and Memory Management to fine-tune performance.
• Use task tracking (Jira) and version control (Git, Perforce) to manage your work.
• Debug and resolve gameplay issues, ensuring the game is smooth and enjoyable.
• Take part in code reviews and uphold best coding practices.
  

What We’re Looking For

• Beginner to intermediate experience with Unreal Engine and C++ or Blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of task tracking and version control systems (Jira, Git, Perforce).
• Understanding of performance optimization and memory management.
• Problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a passion for game development.
• Familiarity with other game engines or programming languages is a plus!
