Head of Finance and Accounting

Role Description (Pay: N180,000 - N200,000 (Hybrid))

The Head of Finance and Accounting is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja, responsible for leading all financial operations and reporting for BFG Global Consulting, LLC. This role oversees the preparation and analysis of financial statements, ensures timely and accurate financial reporting, and manages budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning. The Head of Finance and Accounting will design and maintain robust internal controls, coordinate audits, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and corporate policies.

Day-to-day work includes managing accounting and financial duties on contract procurement, reviewing monthly and quarterly performance, providing strategic financial insights to leadership, and supporting decision-making for investments, pricing, and cost optimization. The role will also contribute to financial planning for new products and markets, develop financial policies and procedures, and partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial efficiency and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in Finance, with the ability to translate financial data into strategic insights and recommendations.
• Proficiency in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting, including preparation, review, and analysis in line with applicable standards.
• Experience with Budgeting and forecasting, including building and managing annual budgets and multi-year financial plans.
• Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex financial data, model scenarios, and support data-driven decision-making.
• Proven experience leading finance and accounting functions, ideally in consulting, professional services, or a high-growth environment.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement internal controls, financial policies, and compliance frameworks.
• Strong proficiency with accounting software, financial modeling tools, and spreadsheets.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA, CFA) are highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
• Ability to work on-site in Abuja and operate effectively in a fast-paced, mission-driven, and globally oriented organization
