Job descriptions & requirements

QCEF has just completed the independent expert review of the Queen's Care Medically-Tailored Nutrition Program (MTNP), and it has been cleared to proceed.

The review panel was made up of external medical professionals, finance experts, project strategists and mental health specialists. They interrogated the clinical framework, the funding model and the delivery plan, and gave the programme their approval to begin.

MTNP delivers condition-specific nutrition, supplement and medication support to three groups of patients across Abuja — pregnant and post-natal women, people living with Type 2 diabetes, and people living with chronic kidney disease — identified and verified through partner government hospitals. Rollout begins in the coming weeks.

We are now recruiting an experienced PR strategist to lead how this programme is seen, understood and reported.

WHAT THE ROLE INVOLVES

• Own the publicity and communications strategy for MTNP, from the planning to launch through rollout

• Secure serious national coverage — broadcast, print and digital — and build the relationships that sustain it

• Build the messaging architecture: launch narrative, press materials, spokesperson briefings, key messages

• Position QCEF and its leadership as credible voices in health, nutrition and social impact

• Work with the programmes team to turn field results into publishable stories, with beneficiary dignity and consent non-negotiable

• Support visibility for corporate, CSR, faith-based and development partners

• Anticipate and manage reputational risk in a health-sector context

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• A substantial track record running publicity for high-profile programmes, institutions or brands — this is not an entry-level or mid-level brief

• Active, working relationships with Nigerian media across broadcast, print and digital

• Coverage you personally secured, and can point to

• Strong writing and sharp editorial judgement

• The discretion to work responsibly around patients, hospitals and clinical partners

• Comfort operating at executive and board level

ADVANTAGEOUS

• Experience in health, development or the non-profit sector

• Crisis and issues communications experience

• Existing relationships with development partners or donor institutions
