Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
People Strategy & Culture:
- Develop and execute a people strategy that aligns with business objectives and values.
- Build systems for performance tracking, growth planning, and leadership development across all teams.
- Lead efforts around employee engagement, motivation, and belonging, ensuring that every staff member feels connected to the company’s mission.
- Partner with Strategy and Leadership teams to ensure people decisions reflect both data and culture.
- Design and sustain programs that strengthen the company's unique identity, from onboarding to recognition and celebrations.
Performance & Development:
- Manage Good’s performance review cycles, ensuring clarity of roles, goals, and growth paths for every employee.
- Work with team leads to define KPIs, assess progress, and develop personalised learning and growth plans.
- Implement performance analytics and feedback systems that make success measurable and human-centred.
- Coordinate monthly one-on-ones, peer reviews, and quarterly performance reflections to maintain momentum and alignment.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Oversee end-to-end hiring: from job design and candidate sourcing to interviews and offers.
- Ensure hiring decisions align with the company's culture, skill needs, and future growth priorities.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical and emerging roles across business areas.
- Develop a warm and thoughtful onboarding experience that helps new team members integrate smoothly into the company's rhythm.
Employee Experience & Care:
- Drive wellness and care initiatives, from mental health support and coaching to wellness programming and community engagement.
- Partner with leadership to deliver monthly engagement activities (e.g., town halls, workshops).
- Implement reward and recognition systems that celebrate excellence, teamwork, and creativity.
- Maintain transparent communication channels between leadership and teams.
Compliance & Operations:
- Manage people operations, including contracts, payroll coordination, statutory compliance (e.g., pension, taxes), and documentation.
- Maintain organised and secure employee data systems and legal records.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and evolving HR best practices.
- Partner with Finance and Legal teams on compensation, benefits, and regulatory alignment
Requirements:
- 4–7+ years of experience in People Management, HR, or Organisational Development, ideally in a startup or creative environment.
- You understand both the human side of leadership and the mechanics of organisational success.
- You’re detail-oriented, organised, and proactive in driving people processes end-to-end.
- You have a successful track record of talent sourcing with high retention rates.
- Fluent in performance management, learning design, and employee engagement.
- Comfortable using digital tools (Google Workspace, HR software) to build structure and transparency.
- Emotionally intelligent, intuitive, and skilled at navigating team dynamics.
- You believe in growth, of people, teams, and the culture that binds them.
Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Remuneration: NGN 700,000
