Job Summary

The HR Manager will oversee and coordinate all human resource activities within the law firm. This includes recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and professional development. The ideal candidate will ensure the firm’s HR policies and practices support its goals, foster a professional workplace culture, and comply with labour and legal standards.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR policies, systems, and strategies aligned with the firm’s objectives.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for legal and administrative positions.
  • Oversee onboarding, training, and staff development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and internal HR policies.
  • Maintain strong employee relations, manage grievances, and resolve workplace issues.
  • Coordinate staff evaluations and performance management processes.
  • Advise management on HR and compliance issues within the legal framework.
  • Oversee compensation, benefits, and leave administration.
  • Maintain employee records and prepare periodic HR reports.
  • Promote a culture of professionalism, ethics, and continuous learning.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Mid-level HR qualification (CIHRM) is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services organisation.
  • Good understanding of labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proficiency in HR management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
