Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute HR policies, procedures, and strategies to support business objectives, including workforce planning for production, export, and R&D teams.
- Lead full-cycle recruitment: Create job descriptions, post ads, screen candidates, condcct interviews, and onboard talent for roles in agro-processing, quality control, and sales.
- Manage employee relations: Handle grievances, mediate disputes, and promote a positive work culture through team-building and wellness initiatives tailored to our agro-food workforce.
- Oversee performance management: Design appraisal systems, provide coaching, and drive training programs (e.g., on food safety standards like HACCP or agrochemical handling).
- Administer compensation and benefits: Ensure competitive packages, payroll accuracy, and compliance with local regulations; manage health insurance, pensions, and leave policies.
- Ensure legal compliance: Stay updated on Nigerian employment laws, conduct audits, and mitigate risks in multi-site operations.
- Support organizational development: Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, engagement) and recommend improvements to boost productivity in our growing factories.
- Collaborate with leadership on diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts to reflect Nigeria's vibrant talent pool.
Requirements:
- Proven working experience as an HR Manager or other HR Executive
- People-oriented and results-driven
- Demonstrable experience with Human Resources metrics
- Knowledge of HR systems and databases
- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
- In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
