Job Summary

The HR Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan. This includes talent acquisition, performance management, culture building, HR compliance, and ensuring a smooth employee experience from onboarding to exit. The ideal candidate must be based around Lekki/Ajah axis.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Recruitment & Onboarding:

  • Develop job descriptions, attract and shortlist top talent for all roles.
  • Manage interviews, offer letters, and onboarding processes.
  • Collaborate with team leads to forecast hiring needs and timelines.


HR Operations & Administration:

  • Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
  • Draft and enforce policies, employee handbooks, and standard operating procedures.
  • Oversee payroll preparation and liaise with finance for timely staff payments.


Performance & Culture:

  • Implement a performance appraisal system with KPIs and regular feedback loops.
  • Champion a positive work culture that reflects WS values of excellence, accountability, and creativity.
  • Mediate workplace conflicts and support employee wellbeing.


Compliance & Legal:

  • Ensure all HR practices align with labour laws and ethical standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive staff and company data.


Learning & Development:

  • Recommend training and capacity-building programs.
  • Monitor professional development opportunities based on staff goals and brand needs.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Admin, or related field.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in HR; experience in a fashion or creative company is a plus.
  • Solid knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Passion for team building and brand culture.
  • Tech-savvy (HR tools, Google Workspace, project management apps).
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Must live around Lekki/Ajah axis
