Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and resourceful Human Resource Officer to join our team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and experience supporting HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and training. You will play a key role in fostering

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment process: job postings, screening, interviews, and onboarding.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure proper documentation and confidentiality.
  • Support performance appraisal processes and monitor staff performance.
  • Handle employee relations, grievances, and disciplinary issues in line with company policies.
  • Prepare HR-related reports and ensure compliance with labor laws and internal policies.
  • Support training and development activities.
  • Maintain and update HR databases and payroll inputs.
  • Monitor staff attendance, leave, and timesheet records.
  • Assist with policy development, review, and implementation.
  • Promote a healthy work culture through employee engagement initiatives.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of proven experience as an HR Officer or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with discretion.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Abuja residents only or willing to relocate

 

Additional Skills:

  • Membership of CIPM or other HR professional bodies is an added advantage.
  • Experience with HR software or payroll systems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
