The Human Resources Officer is responsible for managing and supporting all human resource functions at Roadmech Autocare. This role ensures that the company attracts, develops, and retains competent staff while maintaining a structured, disciplined, and productive work environment. Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Staffing:
- Identify staffing needs across departments and coordinate recruitment processes.
- Advertise job openings, screen applications, and shortlist qualified candidates.
- Conduct or coordinate interviews and assist management in selecting suitable candidates.
- Manage onboarding and orientation for new employees.
Employee Records & Administration:
- Maintain accurate employee records, including contracts, performance history, and personal information.
- Manage staff documentation such as employment letters, confirmations, disciplinary notices, and exit documentation.
- Ensure proper filing and confidentiality of all HR records.
Performance Management:
- Support management in monitoring employee performance and productivity.
- Coordinate periodic staff evaluations and performance reviews.
- Work with department heads to address performance issues and recommend improvements.
Policy Implementation & Compliance:
- Ensure staff complies with company policies, procedures, and workplace standards.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and operational guidelines.
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, and workplace discipline.
Training & Staff Development:
- Identify staff training needs and coordinate training programs.
- Support the development of employee skills to improve operational efficiency.
- Assist in building a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Promote a positive work environment and healthy communication between management and staff.
- Assist in resolving conflicts and disciplinary matters where necessary.
Requirements:
- Minimum HND
- 1 year of previous experience in a similar role
