A Waitress is responsible for providing excellent customer service in a restaurant or dining establishment. Responsibilities:
- Welcome and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverages
- Take accurate customer orders and relay them to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks promptly and correctly
- Check on customers regularly to ensure satisfaction
- Handle customer complaints or concerns politely and efficiently
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, utensils, and glasses
- Process bills and handle payments (cash, POS, etc.)
- Maintain the cleanliness of dining areas and service stations
- Follow health and safety regulations at all times
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a waitress or in customer service (preferred but not always required)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Basic math skills for handling payments
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Teamwork and problem-solving skills
