Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook a wide range of Nigerian dishes, including soups, rice meals, beans (Ewa Agoyin), pepper soups, swallows, moi moi, and other local delicacies.
Ensure meals are prepared according to established recipes and quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen at all times, adhering to food safety regulations.
Monitor food inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
Properly store food items to minimise waste and maintain freshness.
Ensure all kitchen equipment is used safely and kept in good working condition.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and excellent customer service.
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

Academic qualification: HND/BSc
Required experience level: 1-2 Years
Proven experience as a chef or cook in a restaurant or similar food service establishment.
Strong knowledge of preparing Nigerian cuisine, including Nigerian soups & Different rice dishes like beans (Ewa Agoyin), Pepper soups, swallows, and Moi Moi
Good understanding of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and consistency in food preparation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Must provide a reliable guarantor.
