Bar Attendant

Responsibilities:

• Prepare fresh juices, smoothies, wellness shots and other beverages according to approved recipes.
• Wash, peel, cut and properly store fruits, vegetables and other ingredients.
• Ensure consistent taste, portion size, appearance and quality.
• Welcome customers, explain menu options and take orders accurately.
• Recommend suitable products and encourage customers to make additional purchases.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash and electronic payments correctly.
• Keep the bar, preparation area, equipment and serving space clean and organised.
• Clean blenders, juicers, refrigerators and utensils after use.
• Monitor stock levels and report ingredients or packaging materials that need replenishment.
• Check ingredient freshness, expiry dates and storage conditions.
• Minimise waste and record damaged or discarded ingredients.
• Follow all food-safety, personal-hygiene and sanitation procedures.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Participate in product promotions, tastings and customer-engagement activities.
• Complete daily sales, stock and wastage records.

Requirements:

• Minimum of SSCE or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a juice bar, café, restaurant, bakery or food-service business is an advantage.
• Ability to prepare juices and smoothies or willingness to learn quickly.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Basic numerical skills and ability to operate a POS system.
• Neat appearance and high standards of personal hygiene.
• Honest, punctual, energetic and dependable.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be willing to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Applicants should preferably live close to the job location.
• All previous work experience and references must be verifiable.
