- Rotate stock using FIFO (First In, First Out) practices to minimize waste.
- Plate meals with attention to detail, ensuring appealing presentation.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment:
- Sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly.
- Follow cleaning schedules and maintain compliance with health inspections.
- Keep storage areas organized for efficiency and safety.
Monitor inventory and assist with ordering supplies:
- Track ingredient usage and report shortages promptly.
- Collaborate with management to place timely orders and control costs.
- Suggest improvements for inventory management to reduce waste.
Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety regulations:
- Comply with all local food safety laws and internal policies.
- Wear appropriate protective gear (aprons, gloves, hairnets).
- Report hazards or maintenance issues immediately to supervisors.
Requirements:
Minimum High School (S.S.C.E)
2 years of previous experience in a similar role
