Job summary
We are seeking reliable and hardworking Cooks/Kitchen Assistants to support daily kitchen operations in our restaurant. The role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals according to recipes, assisting chefs, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. The successful candidate will help ensure that food is prepared and served according to the restaurant’s quality and presentation standards. They will also assist with basic food preparation tasks, maintain proper food storage, and ensure all kitchen equipment and work areas are clean and safe. Cooks/Kitchen Assistants will work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff to maintain efficiency during service and ensure customers receive high-quality meals in a timely manner.

- Assist in food preparation, including washing, cutting, and portioning ingredients.
- Cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
- Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices.
- Assist the chef during busy service periods.
- Clean kitchen equipment, utensils, and preparation areas.
- Monitor food supplies and report low stock or shortages.
- Ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations.
- Previous experience in a restaurant or commercial kitchen is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions from the chef or kitchen supervisor.
- Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle kitchen tasks.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.
