Responsibilities:
- Assist chefs with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, peeling, and portioning of ingredients.
- Support food plating during service
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workstation
- Clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and surfaces before and after service
- Assist in receiving, storing, and arranging kitchen supplies
- Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
- Support banquet, event, and high-volume service operations
- Work collaboratively with chefs, stewards, and service staff
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions accurately
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Good time management and work discipline
- Passion for hospitality and service excellence
- Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification
- 2–3 years’ experience in a hotel, restaurant, resort, or reputable catering environment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen hygiene practices
- Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
