We are looking for a reliable and skilled Cook to join our hotel’s kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist in the preparation and cooking of high-quality meals, ensuring that all dishes meet the hotel’s standards for taste, presentation, and hygiene. This role is essential for providing a memorable dining experience for our guests.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to the hotel’s menu and recipes.
- Assist the Chef in planning daily menus and specials.
- Ensure proper portioning and plating of meals for consistent presentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards in handling, storing, and preparing food.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and notify the Chef or Supervisor when supplies need replenishing.
- Minimize food wastage and assist with inventory control.
- Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Assist with catering for events, banquets, and room service as required.
- Perform any other kitchen-related duties assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience
- Minimum of a Diploma
