Job summary

Afri Med Connect is hiring healthcare professionals to work as virtual healthcare administrators supporting US medical practices from our Ibadan office. We are currently recruiting healthcare-trained professionals to join our talent pool and support international healthcare providers virtually. The virtual healthcare administrator will support medical practices by managing patient communication, appointment coordination, documentation, and administrative workflows. This role is ideal for registered nurses, midwives, medical graduates, public health professionals, or other healthcare professionals who want to apply their healthcare knowledge in a remote administrative capacity, while working from our Ibadan office.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Handle patient communication via phone calls, email, and messaging platforms
  • Schedule and manage patient appointments and provider calendars
  • Send appointment reminders and follow-up messages to patients
  • Assist with medical billing coordination and claims follow-up
  • Maintain and update patient records in EMR/EHR systems
  • Respond to patient inquiries and provide professional support
  • Assist with insurance verification and documentation when required
  • Coordinate referrals, authorizations, and patient documentation
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with healthcare privacy standards
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers and clinic teams to ensure smooth operations


Requirements:

  • Degree in a healthcare-related field such as: nursing, midwifery, medicine, public health, health sciences, medical laboratory science, and healthcare administration
  • Previous experience working in: hospitals, clinics, private medical practices, telehealth services, and healthcare administrative roles
  • Strong communication and patient interaction skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Speaks clearly and has a good command of English language free from accent intonation
  • High level of professionalism and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or licensed healthcare professional
  • Experience working with EMR/EHR systems
  • Experience with medical billing, insurance verification, or patient coordination is an advantage

Location: In-office/on-site role based in Ibadan, Nigeria.

Work Schedule: Full-Time/8-hour daily/Monday-Friday/ US Eastern Standard Time (EST) 8 am - 4 pm EST. Candidates must be comfortable working US-aligned hours.
