Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new merchants onto Fairsure’s payment platform
- Promote POS, USSD, online payment gateway, and other fintech solutions
- Leverage existing merchant network to drive rapid acquisition
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with merchants
- Conduct product presentations and close acquisition deals
- Ensure proper KYC documentation and compliance during onboarding
- Monitor merchant activity to ensure consistent transaction growth
- Achieve and exceed monthly acquisition and revenue targets
- Provide market feedback to improve products and competitive positioning
Requirements:
- HND or BSc in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ proven experience in Merchant Acquisition, Sales, or Business Development (preferably in fintech or banking)
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to maintain long-term merchant partnerships
- Strong and verifiable merchant network
- Excellent network of contacts within the retail and/or public sector merchant space
- Strong negotiation, communication, and closing skills
- Target-driven with a consistent record of meeting or exceeding sales goals
