Job descriptions & requirements
- Preparation of high-quality, healthy and tasteful traditional Nigerian dishes (e.g., jollof and fried rice, soups, swallows and grills, etc.) in a consistent and timely manner.
- Preparation of high-quality, healthy and tasteful continental dishes (pasta, sandwiches, sauces, English breakfast, etc.) in a consistent and timely manner.
- Handle special dietary requests where possible.
- Following recipes and portion standards to maintain consistency.
- Following food handling, safety and compliance procedures.
- Menu planning and execution.
- Coordinating with the store and purchasing department on food item requisitions within approved budgets.
- Inventory and stock control in the kitchen.
- Good kitchen equipment handling.
- Kitchen team supervision.
- Instilling professional and hygienic conduct in the kitchen.
- Minimum of SSCE Certificate (WAEC, NECO, or GCE).
- A food safety certificate and knowledge is an added advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a chef or cook in a hotel, restaurant or lounge in Nigerian and continental dishes.
- Food safety and hygiene knowledge.
- Must be physically fit and strong. Neat and well groomed.
- Willing to work shifts (including early mornings for breakfast) and work weekends and public holidays.
Remuneration: NGN 150,000 Monthly Gross
