Job summary

We are looking to hire an experienced bakery manager to join our dynamic team as the supervisor. The bakery manager’s responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records, conducting interviews, hiring suitable bakery staff, and managing all bakery operations.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

Operations & Production Management:

  • Supervise and coordinate bakery production to meet demand efficiently.
  • Ensure quality control in all products, maintaining consistency in taste and texture.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory, ordering supplies as needed to prevent shortages or excess stock.
  • Implement and maintain hygiene and food safety standards in compliance with regulations.
  • Optimise production schedules to minimise waste and control costs.


Sales & Customer Relations:

  • Work closely with the sales team to align production with demand.
  • Develop strategies to attract more resellers and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Address customer feedback and complaints promptly, ensuring service excellence.


Staff Management & Training:

  • Supervise bakery staff, ensuring adherence to procedures and efficiency in workflow.
  • Train and mentor employees to improve productivity and maintain quality standards.
  • Schedule shifts and manage staff performance to ensure smooth operations.


Financial Oversight:

  • Track daily sales, expenses, and overall profitability of the bakery.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality.
  • Work with management to set and achieve financial targets.
  • Appraise staff performance and carrying out the necessary disciplinary measures to address poor performance.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of HND in hospitality management, culinary arts or related field
  • Previous experience in a bakery or foodservice management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, recipes, and ingredients
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as necessary
  • Proven experience in a bakery or food production environment (minimum of 5 years)
  • Competence in Microsoft Office for reporting
  • Attention to detail and commitment to enforcing compliance without confrontation


Remuneration: NGN 180,000 – 200,000.

Location: Ikoyi, Osun State
