The successful candidate will oversee flight bookings, ticket issuance, and provide expert travel advisory services. Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Flight Booking & Ticketing: Process bookings and issue tickets using GDS (Amadeus/Sabre/Galileo) with accuracy and efficiency.
- Travel Advisory: Offer expert guidance on travel routes, airlines, accommodations, and packages tailored to client preferences and budgets.
- Itinerary Planning: Design and manage tailored itineraries for corporate and leisure clients.
- Customer Engagement: Act as the primary contact for clients, handling inquiries, changes, cancellations, and travel-related concerns.
- Vendor Relations: Liaise with airlines, hotels, and service providers to secure favorable deals and smooth service delivery.
- Sales & Promotions: Promote and upsell travel packages, tours, and add-on services to clients.
- Problem Resolution: Address travel disruptions, manage complaints, and facilitate refunds or compensations where applicable.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate booking records, client profiles, and financial documentation.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to visa, immigration, and regulatory requirements in all travel arrangements.
Requirements:
- B.Sc. or HND in a relevant field.
- 1–3 years of proven experience in travel management or consultancy.
- Strong knowledge of the IATA portal and BSP settlement.
- Proficiency in GDS (Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo).
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and travel management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly under pressure.
- Knowledge of sales techniques to drive conversions and upsell services.
- Ability to handle multiple clients/bookings simultaneously while remaining professional.
- Previous experience in a corporate travel agency or handling high-profile clients. (Preferred)
- Familiarity with visa and immigration processes. (Preferred)
- Certification in Travel & Tourism or relevant professional training. (Preferred)
