Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Prep Operations Supervisor to oversee requisition processes, manage prep team operations, and drive growth and efficiency within the unit. This role involves cross-functional collaboration with Quality Assurance (QA), Cooking, and Food Product Development (PRD) teams.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Own and oversee all requisition-related activities including needs assessment, procurement coordination, and inventory tracking.
- Ensure timely and accurate ordering of ingredients, tools, and materials.
- Maintain proper documentation and flow of requisition data for accountability and traceability.
- Lead the prep team, ensuring optimal staffing, performance, and adherence to standards.
- Create and manage staffing schedules to meet production and service demands.
- Ensure the team strictly follows recipes, specs, and quality standards in coordination with QA, Cooking, and PRD units.
- Monitor workload, productivity, and team morale, providing support and intervention as needed.
- Manage prep team labor and materials within approved budget parameters.
- Track operational metrics and produce regular reports on requisition status, staffing, and team performance.
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process or cost improvements.
- Maintain and update the unit structure and team schedule as operational needs evolve.
- Optimize workflows and adjust team roles/responsibilities to improve productivity and adaptability.
- Lead the hiring process for new prep team members.
- Oversee onboarding, training, and integration of new hires into the team and processes.
- Ensure continuous learning and skill development through structured training programs.
- Foster a culture of growth, accountability, and collaboration within the prep team.
- Identify high-potential team members and support their career development.
- Establish regular feedback, goal-setting, and development check-ins to build a strong, future-ready team.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in kitchen operations, food production, or team leadership.
- Fair-Good soft skills (Google Docs and similar software)
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage people, budgets, and timelines effectively.
- Familiarity with culinary processes, inventory management, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Leadership mindset with a passion for developing teams and improving operations.
