Food & Beverage Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and attend to guests in a warm, professional manner.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
• Respond to guest enquiries and resolve minor complaints, escalating when needed.
• Maintain a high level of product knowledge on menus, specials, wine lists, and promotions.
• Set up dining areas, buffets, tea stations, and event spaces according to standards.
• Ensure tables, service stations, and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready.
• Assist with food running, plate clearing, polishing cutlery, and resetting tables.
• Support the Supervisor in coordinating shift activities and service flow.
• Comply with all hotel hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Follow proper handling and storage procedures for food and beverages.
• Report any equipment issues or hazards immediately to the Supervisor.
• Monitor and restock service items (napkins, glassware, condiments, tea supplies, etc.).
• Assist with receiving and organising stock under supervision.
• Record wastage or breakages as required.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain smooth operations.
• Assist in training new staff on basic service procedures when assigned.
• Participate in pre-shift briefings and team meetings.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Minimum of a Diploma
