Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Welcome and attend to guests in a warm, professional manner.
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and promptly.
- Respond to guest enquiries and resolve minor complaints, escalating when needed.
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge on menus, specials, wine lists, and promotions.
- Set up dining areas, buffets, tea stations, and event spaces according to standards.
- Ensure tables, service stations, and equipment are clean, stocked, and ready.
- Assist with food running, plate clearing, polishing cutlery, and resetting tables.
- Support the Supervisor in coordinating shift activities and service flow.
- Comply with all hotel hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards.
- Follow proper handling and storage procedures for food and beverages.
- Report any equipment issues or hazards immediately to the Supervisor.
- Monitor and restock service items (napkins, glassware, condiments, tea supplies, etc.).
- Assist with receiving and organising stock under supervision.
- Record wastage or breakages as required.
- Collaborate with colleagues to maintain smooth operations.
- Assist in training new staff on basic service procedures when assigned.
- Participate in pre-shift briefings and team meetings.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Minimum of a Diploma
