Kitchen Supervisor
Job summary
The Supervisor is responsible for managing daily operations within the assigned cafeteria wing. This includes monitoring vendors, overseeing cleaners, maintaining order, and ensuring hygiene compliance during service hours. The Supervisor reports to the Operations Manager.
Job descriptions & requirements
Responsibilities:
- Resume duty at 5:30 am daily
- Inspect dining area readiness before vendor arrival
- Supervise 3 dining area cleaners per wing
- Ensure tables are cleaned and sanitized
- Monitor vendor setup and compliance
- Ensure vendors operate only approved menus
- Prevent unauthorized behavior
- Monitor customer flow and queue discipline
- Ensure tables are cleared continuously
- Oversee plate sorting by vendor
- Conduct transition checks between breakfast and lunch
- Perform end-of-day inspection
- Lock the kitchen jointly with the Kitchen Manager
- Maintain daily logbook documentation
Requirements:
- Previous supervisory or hospitality management experience
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to enforce structure firmly but professionally
- Good communication and conflict management skills
- Attention to hygiene and operational detail
