Job summary
The Cake Baker & Designer will lead the Confectionery Department, responsible for baking and designing high-quality cakes and desserts that meet customer specifications and quality standards. The role requires strong expertise in modern cake decoration, creativity in menu development, and the ability to manage production while leading a small team.

Responsibilities:
- Bake and decorate cakes and desserts using standard and custom recipes
- Create custom designs for birthdays, weddings, events, and special orders
- Oversee daily confectionery production and ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery
- Develop creative cake designs and seasonal dessert offerings
- Supervise, train, and guide confectionery staff
- Manage inventory, cost control, and minimize waste
- Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
- Maintain high customer satisfaction through product quality and presentation
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE (professional baking/decorating training is an advantage)
- Proven experience in cake baking and decoration (portfolio required)
- Strong buttercream and fondant skills
- Creative, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak periods
