Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a wide variety of pastries, cakes, breads, and other baked goods.
- Decorate pastries and desserts to a high standard of presentation and creativity.
- Follow standardized recipes, portion control, and presentation specifications.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen and workstations.
- Monitor the freshness and quality of baked items, ensuring consistency and excellence.
- Support inventory checks, restocking, and ingredient ordering when necessary.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely production and smooth kitchen operations.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation.
- Skilled in cake decoration and pastry presentation.
- Ability to follow recipes and adapt when necessary.
- Good time-management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- High standards of cleanliness and personal hygiene.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Culinary training or certification is an added advantage.
