Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
- Study each recipe and gather all the necessary ingredients.
- Cook food in a timely manner.
- Keep the kitchen environment tidy at all times
- Inform wait staff about daily specials.
- Ensure appealing plate presentation.
- Monitor food stock and place orders.
- Ensuring quality of ingredients and correct food storage
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.
Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook
- Any other form of certification in catering would be of added advantage.
- Ability to prepare Calabar and Igbo delicacies
- At least 3 years of work experience in similar role
- Good and effective communication skills
- Good time management skills to complete much tasks
- Good personal hygiene and good health record.
