Bartender/Barista

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages (mocktails), ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including equipment and ingredients.
  
• Ensure proper stock management and inventory control for beverages and bar supplies.
  
• Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, etc.), teas, and other café beverages.
• Demonstrate proficiency in latte art and coffee presentation.
  
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
  
• Educate customers on coffee varieties and brewing methods when needed.
• Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests.
• Handle customer requests and complaints with a positive attitude.
  
• Collaborate with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operations.
  
• Upsell beverages and café offerings to enhance customer experience.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bartender (specializing in mocktails) and Barista in a café, bar, or restaurant.
• Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and mixology.
• Ability to create visually appealing and delicious mocktails.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a passion for beverage craftsmanship.
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Preferred Qualifications:
• Formal training in mixology or barista certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of Abuja’s café and bar scene is an advantage.
