Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of non-alcoholic beverages (mocktails), ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including equipment and ingredients.
- Ensure proper stock management and inventory control for beverages and bar supplies.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards at all times.
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks (lattes, cappuccinos, etc.), teas, and other café beverages.
- Demonstrate proficiency in latte art and coffee presentation.
- Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment.
- Educate customers on coffee varieties and brewing methods when needed.
- Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to all guests.
- Handle customer requests and complaints with a positive attitude.
- Collaborate with the kitchen and service team to ensure smooth operations.
- Upsell beverages and café offerings to enhance customer experience.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Bartender (specializing in mocktails) and Barista in a café, bar, or restaurant.
- Strong knowledge of coffee brewing techniques, latte art, and mixology.
- Ability to create visually appealing and delicious mocktails.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a passion for beverage craftsmanship.
- Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal training in mixology or barista certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Abuja’s café and bar scene is an advantage.
