Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery across all departments.
- Lead and supervise hotel departments including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Maintenance, Security, and Administration.
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Monitor occupancy, room rates, revenue, expenses, and overall hotel profitability.
- Work closely with the Sales and Marketing team to increase occupancy, revenue, and market share.
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest service and promptly resolve complaints and operational issues.
- Recruit, train, supervise, motivate, and evaluate hotel staff to maintain a high-performing team.
- Monitor staff productivity, attendance, grooming, discipline, and compliance with hotel policies.
- Manage budgets, operating expenses, purchasing, inventory, and cost-control measures.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, facilities, and service operations.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor guest feedback and implement initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare operational, financial, and performance reports for management.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree/HND in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Tourism, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5–7 years' experience in hotel operations, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial or supervisory position.
- Proven experience managing a hotel, resort, serviced apartment, or similar hospitality establishment.
- Strong knowledge of hotel operations, guest relations, revenue management, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong financial and commercial understanding, including budgeting and expense management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel management/PMS software.
- Strong understanding of hospitality service standards, health and safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple departments effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Professional hospitality certification or relevant industry membership is an added advantage.
