Field Survey Supervisor

Responsibilities:

Field Survey Execution:

• Plan and execute field surveys across multiple communities in Nigeria using the Welight methodology.
• Conduct site visits and oversee data collection exercises in the field. 
• Ensure proper use of survey tools, tablets, and applications

Team Management:

• Recruit, train, and supervise field support workers.
• Assign daily targets to field surveyors and monitor performance
• Ensure teams operate efficiently and professionally in the field

Data Quality & Delivery:

• Ensure all survey data is accurate, complete, and compliant with WeLight formats
• Validate and consolidate data collected by enumerators
• Deliver high-quality datasets for load demand estimation

Community Engagement:

• Engage with local leaders to facilitate field activities and post-field activities
• Facilitate the full understanding of the project by community stakeholders
• Ensure smooth access and cooperation within communities

Site Assessment & Support:

• Identify and recommend viable sites based on field observations
• Support the Geomarketing team in validating the project pipeline

Process Compliance & Reporting:

• Ensure adherence to WeLight’s survey methodology and processes in data coordination and reporting
• Report progress, challenges, and results to the Geomarketing Lead

Requirements:

• Experience managing field teams
• Close attention to detail and data quality
• Ability to work in remote and rural environments
• Strong organizational and coordination skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong experience in field data collection and survey management, preferably in the electricity sector
• Good understanding of community entry strategies
• Experience with digital survey and data collection tools
