Job Description/Requirements

  • Maintain weekly, monthly, and overall business targets (metrics include but are not limited to; call volume, lead generation, new business booked)
  • Develop new accounts, servicing existing clients, build leads and maintain a healthy lead pipeline of clients.
  • Work with the CEO on the strategic vision including assisting in the development and negotiation of contracts
  • Participate in developing new business and opportunities. Determine the cost-effectiveness of prospective service delivery.
  • Assess the benefits of all prospective contracts and advise the Executive team on pragmatic design and implementation matters
  • Stay knowledgeable about industry news, clients, and proposition value for designated products you are working on.
  • Preparation, collation, and submission of proposals, quotations, contracts, and proforma invoices for orders with the achievement of sales and profit goals within the timeframe.
  • Assist with preparation of month-end close, audit, payment of statutory taxes, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies- Federal, state, local and contractual guidelines.
  • Coordinates and maintains a complex record/retrieval system. Maintains supplies and inventories.
  • Assists with budget administration for the unit and with monitoring and tracking of section complement.
  • Conducts background research, investigations and retrieves information on various issues. Build relationships with new and existing members and provide high-quality member service.
  • Enters orders into order entry module, checking items, sales category, reviewing orders, matching the entry with the customer’s purchase order, checking the math, taxes, and identify any discrepancies.
  • Responds to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations, and solves problems. Ensures that the tracking and following up of requests is maintained and deadlines are met.
  • Keeps an organized filing system for the entered orders. Checks work for accuracy and conformity with regulations, policies, and procedures and correct/resolve outstanding/incorrect items prior to signature.
  • Prepares daily invoices for mailing, filing accounting copies of the finished orders with invoices in the customer’s files.
  • Stay current with all regulations, practices, reporting requirements. Prepares and processes various documents/statistical summaries/reports requiring the assessment and analysis of data. Drafts correspondence, composes and types letters and memoranda and routes or answers correspondence.
  • Screens, reviews and prioritizes incoming mail, processes correspondence, and initiates a response. Maintain detailed meeting notes with appropriate follow-up to customers and other stakeholders as required.
  • Performs varied administrative duties and clerical functions in connection with the operation of the organization. Handles scheduling of appointments and ensures that the appropriate information is provided. Provide high-level assistance to ad-hoc requests and projects as needed from the CEO.
  • Operates various office equipment and computers utilizing a variety of desktop applications and corporate systems. Prepares presentation material utilizing detailed layout and formatting. Coordinates meetings, events, and schedules. Takes/transcribes minutes as required.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

  • BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, and other Business related courses. A Master's degree would be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2 - 3+ years of recent experience in relationship management/business development.
  • Experience performing business/financial analysis would be an asset.
  • Prospective candidates must be highly organized; with excellent communication; and be experienced with MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Knack for building relationships with potential customers, understanding their environment, and introducing new concepts to solve their problems.
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence on the phone with the ability to craft engaging emails.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite, email campaign tools, CRM implementation, and engagement.
  • Excellent organizing skills, familiarity with sales plans/pipelines & using a schedule to achieve goals, tracking efforts and results, etc.
  • Comfortable presenting & networking.
  • An ethical and honest approach.
  • Willing to travel out of town from time to time.
  • Prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines.
  • Complete tasks on time without errors.
  • Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
  • A positive desire to learn attitude, pleasant, professional, and an excellent work ethic.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
