Business Development Manager
Job summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) will be responsible for driving high-volume diesel (AGO) sales growth across the country by acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing customers. The role focuses on strategic B2B sales, large account acquisition, contract negotiations, and volume growth across both high-volume and medium-volume diesel consumers, including industrial, commercial, and institutional customers. The BDM must demonstrate a proven track record in large diesel supply transactions, bulk fuel contracts, and high-value client acquisition.

Revenue Growth & Market Expansion:
- Identify and secure high-volume diesel supply contracts across the country.
- Develop strategic relationships with industrial, commercial, and institutional buyers.
- Achieve aggressive monthly and annual sales volume targets.

- Lead contract negotiations and pricing agreements.
- Manage strategic accounts and ensure long-term supply contracts.
- Increase client lifetime value through volume expansion.
- Maintain strong relationships with procurement and finance teams of client organizations.
- Monitor pricing trends across depots and major marketers
- Track competitor activity and pricing strategies.
- Identify emerging sectors with increasing diesel demand.
- Develop pricing strategies aligned with margin targets.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure reliable delivery.
- Identify opportunities for regional market penetration.
- Ensure timely customer payments in line with credit terms.
- Work closely with finance to manage receivables.
- Maintain strong cash flow discipline on accounts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- An MBA or professional certification is an advantage.
- 4 - 8 years of experience in B2B fuel sales or commercial energy sales.
- Proven track record of closing high-volume diesel contracts.
- Strong relationships with major diesel-consuming sectors in Nigeria
- Experience working with fuel marketers, distributors, or energy companies

Remuneration: NGN 300,000 - 450,000 per month plus commission and other incentives.
