We are seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our presence in existing and new markets within Nigeria.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities, leads, and potential clients in target markets
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to develop tailored pitches, proposals, and offerings for potential clients
- Conduct market research to understand industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
- Identify and evaluate potential partnership opportunities (joint ventures, partnerships, alliances, etc.) to expand our reach
- Lead negotiations and close business deals with new clients, partners, and investors; meet or exceed revenue targets
- Develop and manage a pipeline of potential opportunities; forecast sales and report on progress to senior management
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to build visibility and generate leads
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulatory changes, and economic developments that impact business opportunities
Requirements:
- ND/BSc degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or a related field from a recognized university
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a similar role; preference for former bank staff with 4 years of experience in a relevant field
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth in a competitive environment
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian business landscape, market dynamics, and cultural nuances
- Excellent networking, negotiation, and communication skills in English; fluency in other Nigerian languages (Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo) is a plus but not required
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills to assess opportunities, competition, and market potential
